About Georgia

Georgia on a hillside with Luna and Ginger

Georgia lives in South Salinas and has spent more than 30 years caring for animals: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and maybe even a frog or two. What began as a house full of family pets grew into fostering dogs from Hitchcock Road Animal Services in Salinas and helping many of them find forever homes.

Georgia’s dog Luna came into the Garden household as a foster dog and quickly identified Georgia as her person. She is a gentle, steady presence who has since helped several other foster dogs settle their nerves and find their place in the pack. She was helped a lot by Georgia’s mini poodle Ginger, who passed in 2025. If your dog gets along with other dogs, they should generally get along with Luna.

Georgia is a full-time homemaker and her husband Frank works from home, so your pet will benefit from someone with a flexible schedule and time to care for them in the way that they need.
